Nintendo Wii Console

The Nintendo Wii console was so popular during its release that it became unavailable almost immediately.

In direct competition with Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 console from Microsoft, Nintendo launched the new Wii console supported by a huge marketing budget.

In the UK Nintendo used celebrities such as Ian Wright, the former Arsenal and England football player to promote the "fun" element of the new Nintendo.

Designed to encourage users to focus on a healthy form of gaming the Wii Fit game can even calculate your centre of gravity from your weight (when you stand on the balance board peripheral) and after you enter the users height.
